Jim is a Senior Systems Specialist with
The Freeman Companies corporate office in Dallas,
Texas.
A "Yankee" by birth he became a Texan by
choice in the beginning of 1980. Residing in Arlington with his wife Aliza, Jim became interested in computers in 1982 and has been involved in the computer industry in some
manner ever since.
On January 4th, 1998, Jim completed the requirements and earned his MCSE certification. "Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers are required to pass four operating system exams and two elective exams that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise."
Jim is currently updating this certification to reflect his expertise in Windows
2000 and Windows XP
On September 1st, 1995, Jim became one of the first people to pass the test and become a Microsoft Certified Product Specialist for Windows 95. On January 4th, 1998, Jim upgraded this certification to include Internet Specialist.
In March of 1996, Jim earned his Novell 4 CNE certification. Combining his expertise in Windows with proven knowledge of Novell networks has allowed Jim to better serve his readers, customers and friends.
Jim upgraded this certification in 2000 to reflect his expertise in Novell
Netware version 5.0
In addition to being both a
Microsoft Product Specialist, Microsoft Certified System Engineer, and a Novell CNE, Jim has also achieved his A+ Certification as a PC Technician acknowledging his proficiency in both operating systems and as a hardware technician.
Along with all these technical certifications, Jim is also a Microsoft Certified Sales Specialist.
